Enhancing Student Engagement: The Synergy of Peer Assessment and Flipped Classroom Design (Revise & Resubmit, Journal of Economics and Finance Education)

Abstract

Grounded in student-centered teaching practices, we investigate the synergy of peer assessments and flipped classroom design in an economics course for two consecutive terms. Survey results show that students have a positive view of this integrated approach. It enhances their engagement and improves their knowledge and skills by providing constructive feedback. Additionally, this combination helps students improve their assessment skills.
